           Grade 3 –December, 2022 - March, 2023  

 

      Third grade students have the new Amplify curriculum which is  NGSS based curriculum. They will be doing a combination of experiments and lessons to learn each unit.

   

They have completed the unit on "Balancing Forces";

 

Second Unit is on “Inheritance and Traits”

 

Chapter 1: Why are wolves different even though they are all the same species?

Chapter 2: Why is Wolf44’s color similar to one pack but different from the other?

  Chapter 3: Why isn’t Wolf 44 like the Bison Valley Pack in hunting style and size?

 Chapter 4: How can scientists investigate questions about traits?

 

Third Unit is on “Environments and Survival”

Chapter 1: Why are the snails with yellow shells not surviving well? 

 

Grade 2 –December, 2022 - March, 2023

They have completed the unit on “Properties of Materials”

 

The Second Unit is on “Plants and Animal Relationships”

 

Chapter 1: Why aren't new chalta trees growing in the Bengal Tiger Reserve?

Chapter 2: Why aren't the chalta seeds getting what they need to grow?

Chapter 3: Why aren’t the chalta seeds getting to places where they can grow? 

Chapter 4: How are other seeds in the reserve able to get to places where they can grow?

Chapter 2: How can Spruce the Sea Turtle survive where there are sharks?

Chapter 3: How can Spruce the Sea Turtle’s offspring survive where there are sharks? 

Chapter 4: How can aquarium scientists explain animal defenses to the visitors?
