Reminder: COVID Health Screening
Posted 8/21/21

Families must consult the home-based COVID-19: Daily Screening | Examen de salud diario de | 每日健康筛查 prior to arrival to school each day. DO NOT print and bring in the form, just check for symptoms.

Dear Mission Valley,
As a reminder, it is extremely important that if your student is exhibiting the following symptoms we want you to keep your child home. We strongly recommend that you notify your child’s doctor and if advised, to get a COVID test for everyone in the household.

Symptoms for COVID include:
• New loss of taste/smell
• Difficulty breathing
• Vomiting
• Diarrhea
• Fever (100 or higher)
• Cough
• Severe headache
• Sore throat

Also linked here is the Alameda County Public Health ACPH guidance for your reference. If you have any questions, feel free to contact the school office. If your child will be absent from school, it is very important that you report your child’s absence.
If you have tested your child for COVID, please wait until you have results before you send your child to school. If they test positive, your child MUST remain at home for at least ten days and are fever free (without medication) for a minimum of 24 hours on the tenth day.
The link COVID-19 Flowchart for Parents | Diagrama de Flujo COVID-19 para Padres | 面向家长的2019冠状病毒病应对流程图 provides a helpful flowchart outlining the necessary steps to take in the event of exposure to COVID or a positive COVID test for anyone in the immediate family.
Thank you in advance for your support in keeping the Mission Valley community safe.
